The Runner’s Lift entails a 90 minute non-surgical office procedure. You will be awake for the entire procedure.
Prior to the procedure, the doctor will obtain a medical and exercise history and assess your overall facial anatomy and needs. Bringing in a photo of yourself from five years ago will be helpful. A nurse assistant will take photographs and next she will cleanse your face in preparation for the treatment.
The first step of the Runner’s Lift is a radiofrequency tightening procedure. This procedure is entirely noninvasive. A small device is placed on your skin and then moved across your face in stepwise fashion. During the treatment, you may feel some warmth and minimal discomfort. Once the entire face and jawline have been treated, the doctor will inject a special biostimulatory filler into targeted areas of the face, focusing on where you need it most. The injections are placed into the subcutaneous tissue (the tissue below the skin) to yield a smooth finish.
Following the treatment, you will experience immediate tightening, and the results will continue to build gradually over the next 2-3 months. There are no cuts, stitches, or bandages required. Patients reports that the treatment is overall very comfortable, and most return to work the next day.
