Everyone’s always trying to lose fat, no matter how hard Dr. Mark Hyman tell us “Eat Fat, Get Thin.”
One of the major determinants of how old your face looks is the amount of underlying fat in what doctors call the “facial fat pads.” These fat pads support the overlying skin, a cushion that maintains round, youthful contours.
Heavy exercise may cause loss of these fat pads, leading to a sunken and hollow appearance, which is completely undesirable. Facial rejuvenation, especially in runners and hardcore athletes, starts with an appreciation of the changes that have occurred in the facial pat pads, and restoring volume where it is needed most. Face lifting (no pun intended) starts with replacing the fat that has gone MIA. Injectable fillers are key. No amount of lasers and chemical peels will fix this problem.
So when you want to lash out against body fat, think twice!
